What is the session fee and what does it include?

Our in-studio session fee is $75. For outdoor sessions it is $125. The session fee is for the photographer's time, and DOES NOT include any prints. Prints are purchased separately. The session fee is due at the time the appointment is made.

What should we wear?

A classic, simple look helps to create a natural looking portrait. Try to avoid busy patterned clothes that detract attention from the face. Light, solid colored clothing works best. For group shots, try to coordinate colors. Feel free to bring multiple outfit changes. Here are some tips that you may find helpful: - For baby portraits we suggest that the parent(s) wear all black. The parent(s) will then blend into the background, and the baby will be the center of focus. We like to keep the babies as bare as possible for studio shoots. - A swaddling blanket is great for newborns and young babies. So please bring your favorite light colored one. - For portraits of children and adults, solid colored clothes are preferable. - For maternity portraits, unbuttoned regular jeans look better than maternity jeans. Wear something that hugs your belly, or can be easily unbuttoned to show off your belly. We have a few wraps you can use for artistic portraits. - For a white background, solid white or light colored tops with jeans look great. - Simple, solid colored tops and jeans work really well for outdoor portraits. - Wear comfortable clothes and be ready to have fun!

What should we bring?

Please bring your child's favorite toy or other item(s) that can calm him/her if needed, or become a prop in a photo. We have a few simple props that can entertain little ones as well. We are very open to your ideas, and no two photo shoots are the same. So bring whatever you might like to see in your final art.

How long will the portrait session be?

We never rush our photo shoots. We will always work at your or your baby's pace. Please be prepared to spend at least 1 hour in our studio. For the babies, please be prepared to feed them at some point during our shoot.

How does payment work?

Your session fee is due at the time the appointment is made. Payment for the final print order is due in full when the order is placed. Your final prints will be ready for pick up approximately two weeks after you place your order. We accept cash, check, and credit cards (Visa, Master Card, and Discover).

How do we select the pictures to print?

We will create a separate password protected web page for your images on our website. We will upload your images to this page and send you your personal link (URL). You can choose the images you want printed and call/email us with the list. On the web page, we will have samples of colored and black & white images so you can have an idea of what each type of image will look like. You can have any image printed in any tone. The online previews are normally available within two weeks after the shoot.

What if we need to reschedule our photo shoot?

If you need to reschedule your photo shoot, please call us at least 24 hours in advance. If you cancel your appointment, your session fee will be credited to your account. You can use this credit to schedule another appointment within 6 months of the originally scheduled date. Session fees are non-refundable, and will be forfeited if the session is not rescheduled within 6 months of the original sesison date.
